Chi Kappa Phi is a service society established to benefit our campus and surrounding city. We hope to inspire a lifelong dedication to philanthropic service by fostering friendships strengthened through a tradition of scholarship and leadership. By doing so, we seek to contribute to our community by facilitating each member’s journey to discover and develop unique philanthropic interests. We will do this by providing numerous service opportunities; one of our main philanthropies will be a partnership with Oak Springs Elementary School.
By working closely with Oak Springs to host events for their students, we will provide the necessary support to assist the school as it develops the minds of young leaders. Understanding the importance of education and community involvement, our goal will be to establish a healthy working relationship and be able to coordinate a mentor program, as well.
Each semester, our new class will organize a creative event benefiting an organization or cause of their choosing. This class project is designed to allow each member to directly impact our community through philanthropy while learning valuable management, communication, research, and creative skills. Along with uniting the new class, this project will raise awareness for the chosen organization or cause as well as increase our service society’s presence on the campus and in the city community.
PHILANTHROPY
Simply put, philanthropy is at the core of who we are and what we do. Our active members regularly participate in service projects in small groups, as classes, and with the Alpha Chapter as a whole. Additionally, each new class participates in a Peep Project, a semester long service project that benefits a selected cause.
The individual passions of the Chickadees have brought us into partnerships with these following organizations:
